Does this service cost anything?
No. This service is completely free of charge. Its main goal is to eliminate unnecessary repairs of underground services.
Which Utilities do I need to contact?
This is dependant on where the area of excavation is. You can start by looking at our Who to Call pages. Be warned that there may be more than the listed Utilities on this site. You should always check with all of your local Utilities before proceeding.
How much notice should I give Utilities before I start to dig?
You should contact Utilities at least 2 days in advance of your scheduled excavation day. This way, Utilities can send someone out to locate underground services in your area. More lead time may be required during the months of May to September due to high demand.
Can I make appointments for line locates through this website?
No. You must contact the necessary Utilities yourself. Each Utility has its own system that is not necessarily the same as another. Please check the appropriate page to find contact information for each Utility.
Note: You should always make sure that you contact all of your local Utilities to make sure that there is no underground services in your area
